Application for Facility Use

There are two ways to use the instruments installed at an instrumental analysis research facility: requesting the facility staff to perform the measurement or performing the measurement yourself. In some cases, the researcher is required to take a training course or receive guidance from a skilled person even if he/she performs the measurement himself/herself. For details, please refer to the Equipment Usage Guide. Please contact the person in charge of each instrument to make a request for measurement or to apply for the use of the instrument. Also, please read the Instrument Use Guidelines for Research Institute for Instrumental Analysis before using the instruments.

At present, the use of instruments and requests for measurement are limited to Intra-academic users

Reservation of Equipment

Please use the online reservation system (Cybozu) to reserve the use of nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, mass spectrometer (JMS-700, FAB Low Mass), mass spectrometer (JMS-T100TD), and circular dichroism dispersion spectrometer. (At this time, the University does not support reservations through the University’s Comprehensive System for the Promotion of Inter-Use of Facilities. Please be aware of this.)
You need to register an account with Cybozu before making a reservation. Please fill out the prescribed application form and submit it to Research Institute for Instrumental Analysis (Uchiyama or Ikurumi). (Application form)

Service & Fees

For details on the usage fees and requested measurement fees for each device, please refer to the list of device usage information. Fees are totaled in the usage record book for each device. After using the equipment, please fill in the details of the usage accurately. (At this time, it is not necessary to register the usage record in the equipment usage system.)
The Equipment Usage Promotion Office will handle the billing and budget transfer procedures for usage fees. Therefore, for laboratories or research groups using the facility for the first time, the faculty member who pays the usage fee (the representative of the facility use) must apply for usage permission through the Integrated Facilities Use Promotion System. Please refer to this page for the procedure for applying for usage permission. Please note that for the use of some equipment, it is necessary to submit both this permission application and an application form to make a reservation on Cybozu.
